Your rules, not just your fixtures

The teams that travel can't start before ten. The youngest groups go home after two. Nobody plays three games back to back, and the finals all kick off together. Write your rules once — as hard requirements or soft preferences — and the solver honors every one of them. If the day genuinely doesn't fit, FairGame tells you why and what to change, instead of quietly dropping matches.

  • Arrival and departure windows, rest, break windows, pitch limits
  • A day that can't fit comes back with the reason and the fix

Change the schedule, keep every version

Every time you publish, FairGame snapshots the schedule — and you can save a checkpoint of the current draft any time, no publish required. When a rained-out morning forces a reshuffle, preview exactly what a restore would change, then roll back to any earlier version in one click. Nothing goes public until you re-publish.

  • Every publish and checkpoint saved automatically

Set up in minutes, not evenings

A guided wizard walks you from a blank slate to a ready tournament — name it, pick a format, add categories, import teams. FairGame builds the groups, the schedule and the bracket in one step.

  • Proven format templates
  • Invite co-organizers with one link

Build any format you can imagine

Snap phases together — round-robin groups, single tables, knockout brackets — into a system that's exactly yours. Pick how teams carry from one phase into the next, reorder on the fly, and a live preview validates the shape before you commit a single fixture.

  • Groups, single tables and knockouts in any sequence
  • Live preview validates the format as you build

Bracket on your terms

Top finishers and the best third-placed teams flow straight from your live group standings into the bracket — auto-seeded by OpenSkill to keep the strongest sides apart, or arranged by hand with drag and drop. Brackets run from a final up to a round of 32, a consolation plate keeps everyone else playing, and placement playoffs settle every position down to 15th. Draws that finish level go to penalties.

  • Auto-seed by OpenSkill or drag to arrange
  • Plate and placement playoffs — every team ends the day with a finish

Referees who staff themselves

Send each referee their own link — no app, no account, no password. They set the hours they can work and pick their own shifts, and you watch the coverage grid close itself. Anything still open stays red, one click auto-staffs the rest, and FairGame warns you when someone is heading for four hours straight without a break.

  • Referees set their own availability and claim their own shifts

Registration that runs itself

Open the tournament, send clubs one link, and the sign-ups come to you — teams, player rosters, and the strength each coach declares. Approve or decline each one, collect the entry fee at checkout, and watch collected, outstanding and net land in a running total. FairGame chases whoever hasn’t paid.

  • One link — teams, rosters and entry fees come back in

Fair draws, balanced by skill

Each club enters one team per skill level, and FairGame checks every one against its OpenSkill rating — learned from real results, margins and all. Your draw gets a fairness score out of 100 with every likely blowout counted, mis-classed teams are flagged before you publish, and club ratings carry from one tournament to the next, so each event you run starts fairer than the last.

Next year’s edition, in one click

Save this year’s tournament as a template — every venue, pitch, category, group, day and setting, minus the teams and results. Next season you pick it off the shelf and you’re back where you finished, only a year smarter. Build one from scratch in the template builder, or share it by email with another organizer so they can run your format too.

Live from the pitch

The whole tournament, in real time

The moment a referee logs a goal it lands on the live dashboard — every pitch, the matches in play, just finished, and up next, refreshed automatically so you see the entire day at a glance. Alongside it, the control room keeps a running list of what actually needs you: clashes, unscheduled matches, brackets waiting on a result, most urgent first.

No refresh. No spreadsheet. No surprises.

On the roadmap

The next season of FairGame is intelligent

We're teaching FairGame to do the thinking, not just the bookkeeping — at the tournament, and in every week between. First up: FairMatch. The scheduler you can talk to follows.

Coming soon

FairMatch — the right opponent, any week of the year

Tournament weekends are two a year; your teams play all season. Tell FairMatch when they can play — free dates, home slots, how far you'll travel — and it proposes friendlies against clubs at their level, matched on the same ratings that keep FairGame draws fair. Both clubs see a fixture that fits their calendars; one click to agree, and the match card, QR scoring, live score and parent view are ready. Every result feeds the rating — so the next matchup, and your next tournament draw, is fairer still. No ring-around, no mismatches, no wasted Saturdays.

  • Opponents matched by the FairRating system — not by whoever answers the phone
  • One click to agree — fixture, referee card and parent view created automatically

Schedule the whole day in a sentence

Tell FairGame how the day should run — keep the youngest groups in the morning, give every team a break between games, put the semi-finals on the show pitch — and it drafts a complete, conflict-free plan across every pitch in one pass. Every assignment is checked against your rules before it reaches the board, so you review, tweak and publish while the busywork never touches your desk.

Questions

Good to know

How fast can I set up a tournament?

Minutes. The onboarding wizard takes you from a blank slate to a ready schedule — name it, pick a format, add categories and import teams, and FairGame builds the groups, schedule and bracket in one step.

Which sports does FairGame support?

Soccer, basketball, handball, volleyball and padel out of the box, with round-robin, knockout and group-to-bracket formats. If your sport runs on fixtures and standings, FairGame fits.

Can referees score from their phones?

Yes. Print match cards grouped by pitch, each with a QR code that opens the referee’s score page on any phone — no app install, no login. Scores land on the live dashboard instantly.

Do referees need an account?

No. Each referee gets a personal link you send them — they open it on their phone, set the hours they can work, and pick their own shifts. Nothing to install, no password, and you keep the final say on the coverage grid.

Can I reuse last year’s setup?

Yes. Save any tournament as a template — venues, pitches, categories, groups, days and settings, without the teams or results — and scaffold the next edition from it in one click. You can also share a template with another organizer by email.

Does FairGame handle payments?

It does. Collect entry fees the moment a team registers, track who has paid, and let FairGame chase the ones who haven’t — available on the Club plan and up.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — tournaments with up to 16 teams are free forever, with the whole platform: auto-scheduling, live scoring and a public results page. No card required to get started.
